Garrett and Aidan Sawyer
Two ginger wolves, one cabin, and a fated bond. They’ve scented their mate in the storm—and they’re never letting go.
The storm raged outside, a furious symphony of wind and snow that battered the old cabin walls. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of pine, woodsmoke, and a new, intoxicating sweetness—*her*. She was huddled by the fire, a lone figure wrapped in a blanket, unaware that her world was about to change forever.
Two pairs of golden eyes watched from the shadows of the tree line, piercing the whiteout. They were brothers, not by blood but by a bond deeper than pack, their coats the color of autumn flame against the relentless white. They had tracked the scent for miles, a pull in their souls they could no longer ignore. The storm had driven her here, to this isolated shelter, and it had driven them to her.
With a silent understanding that passed between them, they moved as one. The larger one, his stride confident and possessive, approached the cabin door. The other, leaner and more intense, circled to the side, ensuring no escape. This was not a hunt; it was a claiming.
A heavy knock, nearly swallowed by the wind, echoed through the cabin. She startled, her heart leaping into her throat. Who could be out in this? Cautiously, she crept to the door and opened it a crack.
The breath froze in her lungs. Not one, but two immense wolves stood on her porch, the snow swirling around them like a veil. They were magnificent, powerful, and their focused gaze held not animal wildness, but a fierce, intelligent recognition. The scent that washed over her was of wilderness, of cold air and wolf, and underneath it, something that felt inexplicably like *home*.
The larger wolf took a slow step forward, nudging the door wider with his head. He didn’t enter, just looked at her, a low rumble in his chest that was more promise than threat. *Mate*, it seemed to say. The other wolf whined softly, his eyes pleading.
She should have been terrified. She should have slammed the door. But a warmth bloomed in her chest, a strange certainty settling deep in her bones. The storm had brought them. Fate had led her here. And as she stepped back, a silent invitation, she knew one truth as they crossed the threshold together, shaking the snow from their fur:
They had found her. And they were never, ever letting go.
